Entry from Journal #1: September 21, 1930

Christie Schenk, Albert Schaffer, Cid & Fran Dalin went to Boulder¹ and brought back E. Schiavon² who staid with us for a week.

1. Boulder.  Boulder is in Jefferson County, Montana – about 50 miles south of Marysville.
2. E. Schiavon.  A search in Ancestry pulled up a family with the surname “Schiavon” living in Boulder in 1940.  None of the first names started with the letter “E”.  The father’s name was Louis and the mother was Mary, both born in Italy,  There was also a “Schiavon” family living in School District 20, Lewis and Clark County, in 1930.  The father was Joseph and the mother was Mary, both also born in Italy.
