[Friday] May 6, 1932

Vigalantie [sic] day in Helena. The parade was well represented of olden pioneer days and relics back to 1863, Christie [Mary’s son], Joe Color, Clarence and Mrs. Beaver and myself went to Helena.

[Saturday] May 7, 1932

I volunteered to pack a box of groc. I bot [sic] at Safeway, but failed in the long walk so I sent Frances Dalin [Mary’s daughter] home in a bus with the contents.

[Wednesday] May 11, 1932

I worked from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. that nite my knees pained terrible at 5 next morning I had a fierce nose bleed from a pain in my head.

[Thursday] May 12, 1932

Lindburg’s [sic] baby was found dead, 5 miles from where it was stolen a couple of mos. after.

[Saturday] May 14, 1932

I got a holy water fountain from cousin Lizzie for Shirley and Fontella. Lizzie went me a nice pr. of rosary beads to pray for her. Albert [Mary’s 2nd husband] is working for H. [Herman] Ingman with Duglas [sic] Rudio. Mrs. Lizzie Korting is at White Fish Mont.

[The rosary beads on the left belonged to Mary’s daughter, Frances (Schenk) Dalin.]
