Entry from Journal #1: June 28, 1930

Gee! it’s a cold windy day.  I’ve tried to irrigate & do a bit of carpenter work and my hands are sure cold.  Mrs. Lewis Holly is sick from a cold.  My rite arm pains me so severe at the elbow I can’t hardly stand to use my hand for anything.
